About

I’m an independent celebrant with a love of life, romance, and all things creative! I live in Colchester, Essex with my husband Phil and am a busy mum of 3 teenage children. My friends describe me as compassionate, fun, ambitious, a bit of a perfectionist and above all else super organised!
Having been a primary school teacher for the past 21 years, an inspirational encounter whilst at a funeral last year led me to consider that there might just be another calling for me! The celebrant was just amazing and really did blow me away! The very next day I was googling and within a week had enrolled on a training course! I am now delighted to say I get to be part of people’s special moments as a job, and I couldn’t be more excited.
I enjoy being outdoors and having adventures with my family. I’m at my happiest surrounded by nature and love nothing more than curling up with a good book or listening to a true crime podcast! I sing in a local choir, oh and there’s my guilty pleasure of musical theatre – I really do love a West End show and can’t resist an opportunity to belt out the odd musical number - jazz hands included!
In between all that – I also love to bake for my friends and loved ones, especially if there’s a theme! Monkeys, teapots, unicorns – you name it and I’m willing to give it a go!
